Welcome to my website, where I would like to share with you my passion for movies! In this site, you will be able to look up and read my reviews via the search box on the Reviews A-Z page.

I grew up in Ayrshire in Scotland, but with my work I have travelled extensively, and lived overseas. I currently live in the South of England.

I have memories of movies from a very early age, and movies for me were synonymous with cinema. We didn’t have a TV until I was about 7 years old, so going to the cinema was a special treat and every event savoured. I still remember those first movies I saw (The Poseidon Adventure, Breakheart Pass), and my love for movies has only grown since. My tipping point into true cineaste territory was definitely when I was invited to talk to the projectionist as he changed reels, when on a visit to see Superman 2. My imagination was well and truly ignited. In more recent years, I have hosted many movie nights on my projector and big screen at home, and this merged with my pleasure in writing to develop into the material that makes up this site.

Please enjoy my reviews, and for some movies you will also see additional material – intended to be read in conjunction or as a ‘warmer-upper’ for the movie if you intend to watch it.
